Rally of Britain 1998

Rallying is the biggest spectator sport in the UK and the British rally Championship is one of the most popular events in the UK motorsport calendar.

The rally is based upon car travelling a route which is timed , the car with the fastest time wins the rally. The main teams are run by the major car manufacturers as a way of promoting certain mcar models. The appeal of Rallying is the teams not only race against the clock but the also have to deal with the weather and the environment that often affect the rally.

These images were taken over 8 challenging weeks in all sorts of weather during two rallies - The Vauxhall Rally of Wales and The Pirelli rally based in Cumbria.

These images were used as part of an exhibition and as PR images.
